The Tennessee Titans have added a key piece to their struggling defence by signing pass rusher Bud Dupree to a three-year, $49.5 million contract, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The 28-year-old has spent his entire six-year career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Last season Dupree had eight sacks, 15 QB hits and 31 total tackles in 11 games before suffering a knee injury in Week 12.
However, Rapoport reported earlier on Monday that Dupree's "rehab was going really well" and teams looking to sign him were not worried about the risk.
Last season, the Titans' defence gave up an average of 5.9 yards per play, the eighth-worst mark in the NFL.
