'Self-sabotage': Social media stunned by Broncos' 64-yard FG attempt vs. Seahawks

Watch as Denver Broncos purposely let clock wind down with a minute remaining in the fourth quarter, and fail on the 64-yard field goal attempt to drop their season opener vs. Seattle Seahawks.

On Monday night all eyes in the football world were on Seattle as Russell Wilson made his highly anticipated return to the city where he played his first 10 seasons.

But the play everyone was talking about after the game involved Broncos rookie head coach Nathaniel Hackett's decision to take Wilson off the field with a chance to win the game in the final minute — and instead, attempt a 64-yard field goal.

That kick from Brandon McManus missed and the Seahawks held on to win 17-16, spoiling Wilson's return and leaving Seattle as the only NFC West team with a 1-0 record after Week 1.

After the game, fans were quick to react to Hackett's strategy and they were almost universally against the move. Here are some of the best reactions.
