The TikTok dances on NFL team logos will stop, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster told reporters Wednesday.
Smith-Schuster says he will no longer do the pre-game ritual “for the betterment of myself and my teammates.”
For the past several weeks, Smith-Schuster would film a viral TikTok dance to Popp Hunna’s song “Adderall” on the midfield logo of each stadium. The dance was not limited to his opponent’s logos, the wide receiver also posted a video of him dancing on a Steelers logo on Dec. 2 while in his uniform.
There has been criticism lately of the unique pre-game ritual. His last video of the dance on the Bengals’ striped “B” logo included the caption, “They told (me) to stop dancing on the logo and not to be yourself, so …”
Smith-Schuster later took a hard hit in the Bengals game by safety Vonn Bell, which some thought was retaliation for the dance.
Perhaps with less dance content, maybe Smith-Schuster will give us more canine content instead featuring his dog Boujee.
