Canadian wide receiver Jared Wayne might get another chance to make his first career NFL reception on Christmas Day.
The Houston Texans elevated the native of Peterborough, Ont., for the third and final permitted time this season ahead of Wednesday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Wayne also played last week against the Kansas City Chiefs and earlier this month against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Unfortunately, Texans star receiver Tank Dell suffered a season-ending knee injury when colliding with Wayne on a touchdown reception last week.
Wayne signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He wasn't elevated to the active roster last year.
Wayne, 24, played college football at Pittsburgh. The Toronto Argonauts picked him in the second round of the 2023 CFL Draft.
