NBC analyst Cris Collinsworth paid Buffalo Bills star quarterback Josh Allen the ultimate compliment in the first half of the NFL season opener against the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night.
"I feel like I'm watching Tom Brady out here tonight," Collinsworth said.
While Allen has a long way to go to reach Brady's level, the beastly Bills quarterback does some things that are not in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers star's playbook — and they were all on display in a 31-10 win over the defending Super Bowl champs.
Built like a linebacker and not afraid to run, Allen's trademark moment came in the third quarter when he ran for a first down after stiff-arming Rams defensive back Nick Scott.
Later on the drive, Allen hit Isaiah McKenzie for a seven-yard touchdown pass to give the Bills a 17-10 lead — an edge they would not relinquish.
Allen completed the first 10 passes he threw — a personal best — and finished 26-for-31 with 297 passing yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. He also rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown.
Here's a look at some of the reaction on social media.
