Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs confronts reporter over tweet

Like many of us, it seems, Dallas Cowboys star cornerback Trevon Diggs can’t help but scrolling his feed on X (formerly Twitter) when he gets a minute.

In the aftermath of the Cowboys’ Sunday night loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Diggs showed he’s very tuned in to those talking about his efforts on social media.

As reporters waited outside the Cowboys locker room, Diggs went to the hallway to confront Dallas radio reporter Mike Leslie about a tweet questioning Diggs’ play on a catch-and-run by George Kittle.

Dallas TV reporter Newy Scruggs shared the exchange on X.

“By that whole play, that’s what you took from that,” Diggs said to Leslie. “You don’t know football. You can’t do nothing that I do. You can’t go out there and do nothing. Stay in your lane, buddy.”

“Just asking the question, Trevon,” Leslie responded. “I mean, I’m happy to have you answer the question.”

Diggs, a two-time Pro Bowler, then walked away and uttered a crude remark.

The Cowboys cornerback did not take questions from reporters in the locker room.

The tense exchange came after the Cowboys fell to 3-4 with a 30-24 loss.
