Raiders receiver Michael Gallup retires from NFL after six seasons

Michael Gallup is hanging up the cleats after six seasons in the NFL.

The Las Vegas Raiders placed the receiver on the reserve/retired list ahead of training camp.

Gallup signed a one-year deal with the Raiders as a free agent after being released by the Dallas Cowboys.

He signed a five-year, $57.5 million deal with the Cowboys in 2022 but struggled to regain his form after suffering a torn ACL in the 2021 season. After the injury, Gallup caught 73 passes for 842 yards and six touchdowns and did not record a 100-yard game in the regular season in 2022 and 2023.

Gallup’s best season in the NFL came in 2019 when he had 66 receptions for 1,107 yards and six touchdowns.

Dallas selected the receiver in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft and registered 266 catches for 3,744 yards and 21 touchdowns in his career.
