Report: Bears sign WR DJ Moore to four-year contract extension

The Chicago Bears and wide receiver DJ Moore agreed to a four-year, $110-million contract extension on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The deal includes $82.6 million guaranteed, Schefter reported.

With the extension, Moore now has had the first 10 years of his career years guaranteed, a first in NFL history for a wide receiver.

The Bears acquired Moore before the 2023 NFL Draft in a deal that saw the team trade away its first-overall pick in that year’s draft to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for Moore, the Panthers’ 2023 (ninth overall) and 2024 first-round picks, and two second-rounders.

The Panthers’ 2024 first-round pick became the first-overall selection and the Bears took USC standout Caleb Williams in April’s draft.

Moore had a phenomenal year in his first season with the Bears in 2023, catching 96 passes for 1,364 yards and eight touchdowns — all career highs.

Chicago added to its receiver corps in the 2024 off-season, signing star Keenan Allen away from the Los Angeles Chargers before selecting Biletnikoff Award candidate Rome Odunze out of Washington with the ninth pick in the 2024 draft after taking Williams.

In his six seasons as a pro, Moore has recorded 460 receptions for 6,565 yards and 29 touchdowns.
