Report: Packers QB Jordan Love’s ACL still intact following injury vs. Eagles

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love may have avoided a serious injury to his ACL after hurting his knee during Friday’s season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero reported Saturday morning that initial tests revealed Love’s ACL is intact. Love is expected to undergo additional scans upon returning to Green Bay.

Love remained on the field after he was tackled with six seconds remaining in the Packers’ 34-29 loss to the Eagles.

The 25-year-old needed assistance off the field and appeared to be limping.

Love signed a four-year, $220 million extension this summer.

Packers coach Matt Lafleur did not have an update on Love’s status during his post-game interview.

Love threw for 260 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.

Backup quarterback Malik Willis replaced Love for the final two snaps of the game.
