Report: WR Davante Adams informs Raiders he prefers to be traded

Davante Adams is ready to move on from his time in the silver and black.

According to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the star wide receiver has informed the Las Vegas Raiders that he would prefer to be traded.

Adams has consistently been at the forefront of trade rumours, as the Raiders don’t seem to be playoff-bound in 2024.

The 31-year-old called the rumours “annoying” on Tuesday’s episode of the Up & Adams Show.

“I’m one of those players people like to talk about one way or the other,” he later added. “So, thank God that he just blessed me with the ability to just focus in on what I need to focus in on and not get sidetracked by any of the outside noise.”

Adams missed the Raiders’ Week 4 win over the Cleveland Browns with a hamstring injury, but had totalled 209 yards and one touchdown on 18 receptions through the first three games of the season.

A six-time Pro-Bowler and three-time All-Pro, Adams has posted four straight seasons with over 100 receptions and over 1000 yards.

Later Tuesday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Raiders had informed other teams they would consider trading Adams for a second-round pick and additional compensation.

Las Vegas (2-2) will head to Denver with an in-division clash with the Broncos (2-2) in Week 5.
