The Anaheim Ducks have signed forward Jansen Harkins to a one-way, two-year deal, the team announced on Tuesday.
The signing will take on an annual cap hit of $775,000 through the 2025-2026 season.
The six-foot-two, 27-year-old spent the 2023-2024 campaign between the Pittsburgh Penguins and their AHL affiliate, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. There, Harkins netted five goals and seven assists for 12 points through 14 minor league games, while also suiting up for 45 contests with Pittsburgh before being limited due to injuries.
The Cleveland, Ohio native was originally selected in the second round of the 2015 draft by the Winnipeg Jets. He would go on to suit up for 200 games with their AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, netting 132 points in the process, while adding 27 points in 154 NHL games.
After having a career year with the Moose in 2022-2023 that saw him tally 25 goals and 25 assists for 50 points in 44 games, he was claimed off waivers by the Penguins ahead of the following season.
