The Anaheim Ducks are down another forward.
Top-line centre Leo Carlsson suffered an upper-body injury Monday against Seattle and did not return, the team announced.
Carlsson left the game with just under five minutes left in the second period after Kraken forward Tye Kartye laid an open-ice hit in front of the net that sent the 19-year-old crashing into the post.
Kartye was called for interference on the play.
Anaheim is already without wingers Robbi Fabbri, Brock McGinn and defenceman Cam Fowler. They did, however, activate forward Mason McTavish off injured reserve.
The Ducks selected Carlsson second overall in the 2023 draft. In 19 games this season, the young forward has six goals and five assists.
Last season, he had 12 goals and 29 points in only 55 games after missing nearly a month with a sprained MCL.
The Ducks and Kraken face each other Wednesday in Seattle for the second half of a home-and-home series.
