Nikolaj Ehlers continues to skate, but his status for Game 4 remains in question, according to Sportsnet's Ken Wiebe.
The Winnipeg Jets' Danish winger has not played since April 11, despite his best attempts to re-enter his team's lineup. He has yet to be medically cleared from an upper-body injury he suffered two weeks ago.
The Jets may consider going with 11 forwards and seven defencemen, Bowness said.
Minnesota Wild
Wild centre Joel Eriksson Ek will be out of the lineup for Game 4 on Sunday against the Dallas Stars, coach Dean Evason told reporters.
Eriksson Ek returned to the lineup for Game 3, but played just one shift.
Eriksson Ek suffered a lower-body injury on April 6 and at the time was considered week-to-week. He had 61 points in 78 games this season and contributed heavily to both special teams.
Minnesota leads the series 2-1.

Dallas Stars
Stars coach Peter DeBoer told reporters he's optimistic forward Joe Pavelski will return in this series against the Wild, per Joe Smith of The Athletic.
Pavelski went into concussion protocol after taking a hit from Matt Dumba in Game 1.
Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers called up forward Dylan Holloway and goaltender Olivier Rodrigue from AHL affiliate Bakersfield Condors ahead of Game 4 on Sunday.
Holloway, 21, had 51 appearances with the Oilers over the regular season, collecting three goals and six assists.
Rodrigue, 22, has yet to make his National Hockey League debut. He posted a 14-14-1 record with the Condors this season, along with a 2.77 goals against average and .912 save percentage. He will serve as the third goaltender behind Stuart Skinner and Jack Campbell.
Boston Bruins
Forward David Krejci will not be in the lineup again when the Bruins take on the Panthers in Game 4 on Sunday (3:30 p.m. ET / 12:30 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and SN NOW). Montgomery added that he did see Krejci be able to play in Game 5 either.
And, despite concern he may not be able to play, Linus Ullmark will once again get the start in goal, according to head coach Jim Montgomery.
In other words, the same lineup that Boston had in its 4-2 Game 3 victory.
New York Islanders
Kyle Palmieri is having a pretty good series for the Islanders, having collected two goals and two assists in three games, including a game-winner in Game 3.
He has a chance at joining exclusive company if he keeps it going and collects at least two points in Game 4. If he does, Palmieri will become the first Islander in 40 years to collect at least two points in three straight games.
Only five Islanders have achieved that feat, according to the NHL. The others? Oh, no one special: Bryan Trottier, Bob Bourne, Wayne Merrick, Denis Potvin and Mike Bossy. Just a bunch of guys with 20 Stanley Cups between them.
Florida Panthers
The Panthers were a little short on the blue line at the end of Game 3 against the Bruins, after Aaron Ekblad and Josh Mahura left with injuries and Brandon Montour was ejected.
While Ekblad skated on Saturday, he will not appear in Game 4 on Sunday. Casey Fitzgerald will dress in his place.
Another lineup change saw the Panthers scratch Anthony Duclair for Game 4 and replace him with Zac Dalpe, the captain of their AHL affiliate.
The team also called up defenceman Lucas Carlsson on Sunday from the Charlotte Checkers.
Carlsson, a fourth-round pick of Chicago in 2016, has 20 goals and 54 points in 61 AHL games this season, plus four points in their three playoff games.
Tampa Bay Lightning
Following the Lightning's 4-3 overtime loss in Game 3 on Saturday night, head coach Jon Cooper provided some team updates to the media on Sunday afternoon.
Cooper confirmed defenceman Erik Cernak will not play in Game 4 after missing the previous two contests due to an injury sustained in Game 1. Cernak took a hit to the head from Maple Leafs winger Michael Bunting, who was suspended three games as a result of the illegal check. According to Cooper, the team is taking it "day-to-day" with Cernak.
In regard to Brayden Point, Cooper said he hopes the centre will be available for Game 4 on Monday (7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and SN NOW). Point took an awkward hit into the boards from the Maple Leafs' Morgan Reilly on Saturday, which immediately sparked chaos between the two teams. Following the hit, Point attempted to skate to the bench but collapsed after just a few strides. He was able to play out the remainder of the game.
