Central Division rivals turned into business partners on Saturday.
The Colorado Avalanche acquired forward Juuso Parssinen and a 2026 seventh-round pick (via the New York Rangers) from the Nashville Predators in exchange for forward Ondrej Pavel and a third-round pick in 2027.
Parssinen, 23, has played 15 games for the Predators this season, logging five points (two goals, three assists). The Finnish forward registered four of those points during a four-game point streak in mid-November.
Through 104 career games, all with Nashville, Parssinen has racked up 42 points (16 goals, 26 assists).
Pavel, 24, has played in two NHL games since being signed by the Avalanche as a college free agent. In 77 games for the AHL's Colorado Eagles, between 2022-25, he's tallied 12 points (six goals, six assists).
The Predators return to action on Monday as they visit the Winnipeg Jets, while the Avalanche get back on the ice, also against the Jets, on Tuesday.
