Avalanche acquire Kyle Burroughs from Islanders in exchange for A.J. Greer

The Colorado Avalanche have acquired defender Kyle Burroughs from the New York Islanders in exchange for winger A.J. Greer, the clubs announced Sunday.

Burroughs, 25, spent the past five seasons with the Islanders' AHL affiliate in Bridgeport, putting up eight points through 58 games in 2019-20.

Greer, 23, posted 16 goals and 32 points for the Avalanche's AHL affiliate in 2019-20 -- he's suited up for Colorado at the NHL level 37 times over the past few seasons, posting six points in the big leagues.
