Avalanche claim Nicolas Aube-Kubel off waivers from Flyers

The Colorado Avalanche have claimed forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel off waivers from the Philadelphia Flyers, the team announced Saturday.

Aube-Kubel, 25, registered one point through seven games with the Flyers this season. In 2020-21, he produced three goals and nine assists over a career-high 50 games in Philadelphia.

The 2014 second-round draft pick has played in 229 AHL games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, Philadelphia's affiliate, and recorded 105 points.

The Slave Lake, Alta., native has 28 points in 102 career NHL games, all with the Flyers.
