Colorado Avalanche forward J.T. Compher will miss a month of action, head coach Jared Bednar confirmed on Monday.
Compher sustained a lower-body injury in the Avalanche’s win over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday.
That rules out another skater for Colorado with Nathan MacKinnon in the midst of a multi-week absence with a lower-body injury of his own and Bowen Byram recovering in concussion protocl.
Compher, 26, has five goals and four assists in 12 games with the Avalanche this season.
