The Colorado Avalanche have re-signed defenceman Bowen Byram to a two-year contract worth $7.7 million, the team announced Saturday.
Byram, 22, scored 10 goals and 24 points in 42 games for the Avalanche last season — the second amongst defencemen on the team, behind only former Norris Trophy-winner Cale Makar.
The native of Cranbrook, B.C., won the Stanley Cup with the Avalanche in 2022, notching nine points in 20 post-season games that year.
