The Colorado Avalanche have signed defenceman Kyle Burroughs to a one-year contract, the team announced Friday.
The Avalanche acquired Burroughs from the New York Islanders on Oct. 11. He spent last season as team captain for the Islanders’ AHL affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, where he recorded eight points (two goals, six assists) in 58 games.
In total, the 25-year-old has played 313 career AHL games (all with Bridgeport), and has posted 82 points (17 goals, 65 assists) and a plus-15 plus-minus rating during that time.
