Avalanche to start Francouz in Game 3, with Kuemper still out

Colorado Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar speaks on Game 3 of the Western Conference Final against the Edmonton Oilers, saying he expects the Oilers to show up on their home ice, and confirms Pavel Francouz will once against be the starting goalie.

The Colorado Avalanche will start Pavel Francouz again in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Saturday night.

Head coach Jared Bednar confirmed as much after the morning skate featured a brief appearance from injured starter Darcy Kuemper.

Kuemper left Game 1 of Colorado's series with the Edmonton Oilers with an upper-body injury with 12:41 left in the second period and was replaced by Francouz. He has not returned since.

The Avalanche are up 2-0 in the series.
