Colorado Avalanche coach Jared Bednar said that forward Andrew Cogliano was "possibly an option" ahead of Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Cogliano, who is dealing with a finger injury, worked with Darren Helm on penalty-killing drills during Saturday's morning skate.

Avalanche forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel skated with the scratches and will likely be out for Game 2. Both Gabriel Landeskog and Game 1 hero Andre Burakovsky took maintenance days.

Nazem Kadri hopped on the ice with skills coach Shawn Allard ahead of the morning skate, but Bednar did not provide an update after saying he was "getting better," on Friday.

It's Kadri's third day of skating in a row. The forward is still recovering from thumb surgery after he was injured in Game 3 of the Western Conference Final when he was taken into the boards by Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane.

Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final takes place Saturday at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. Watch it live on Sportsnet or SN NOW.
