Colorado Avalanche defenceman Cale Makar will make his return to the lineup against the Winnipeg Jets after missing two games with a lower-body injury, head coach Jared Bednar told reporters Thursday.
Makar left Colorado's game Saturday against the Anaheim Ducks with the injury. He missed the next two games against the Los Angeles Kings and a rematch against the Ducks.
The 25-year-old has seven goals and 27 assists, tied for the league lead, in 23 games this season.
Forward Valeri Nichushkin, who missed the Avalance's last game, remains out with an illness.
The Avalanche are currently 16-7-2 and sit second in the Western Conference. They welcome the 14-8-2 Jets to Ball Arena.
