NEW YORK — Colorado Avalanche right wing Mikko Rantanen, Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark and New York Rangers defenceman Adam Fox have been named the NHL's three stars of the week.
Rantanen had three goals and four assists in two games for the Avalanche, who increased their winning streak to four games.
He had two goals, including the game winner, and an assist in a 5-3 win over Nashville on Thursday. He added a goal and three assists in a 4-1 victory over Carolina on Saturday.
Rantanen has 14 points (seven goals, seven assists) over a five-game point streak.
Ullmark went 3-0-0 with a 1.34 goals-against average and .956 save percentage to guide the league-leading Bruins (14-2-0, 28 points) to a 4-0-0 week.
He had 29 saves in a 5-2 win versus Vancouver on Saturday as Boston set a franchise record with nine straight home wins to open a season.
Fox led the NHL with six assists and eight points over four games. He scored the winning goal in both of the Rangers' victories last week.
