The Toronto Maple Leafs are looking to be more phyical Tuesday.
Ahead of a rematch against the Philadelphia Flyers, Leafs head coach Craig Berube said that enforcer Ryan Reaves will draw back into the lineup in place of Nick Robertson.
The move comes after Leafs defenceman Jake McCabe suffered an apparent head injury in a fight with Flyers forward Garnet Hathaway on Sunday. McCabe was placed on injured reserve Monday, and will miss at least one week.
"I just wanted a bigger, more physical lineup tonight," said Berube. "Reavo's been out a few games so I wanted to get him back in. There were some pretty big hits last game, so just got to be prepared and kind of wanted to go with a more physical and heavier lineup tonight."
Reaves last played Jan. 2 against the Islanders. In 26 games this season, the 37-year-old has two assists and 82 hits.
Meanwhile, Robertson has been part of the red-hot Leafs third line that also included Bobby McMann and Max Domi. Robertson, 23, has six goals and four assists in 34 games.
Reaves will skate on the fourth line with Connor Dewar and David Kampf, while Steven Lorentz joins a new-look line with Domi and Max Pacioretty.
