The Chicago Blackhawks are moving up in the 2024 NHL Draft following a trade with the New York Islanders on Friday.
Chicago acquired New York's first- and second-round selections and will now pick 18th and 50th.
The Islanders received the Blackhawks' first- and second-round picks at 20th and 54th plus an additional second-rounder (61st).
No players were exchanged in the deal.
The NHL Draft is set to take place June 28-29 at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
