Blackhawks sign Buddy Robinson to one-year, two-way deal

The Chicago Blackhawks announced Monday that they have agreed to terms with forward Buddy Robinson on a one-year, two-way contract worth $750,000 at the NHL level and $475,000 at the AHL level.

Robinson spent last season with the Anaheim Ducks and their American Hockey League affiliate, the San Diego Gulls, appearing in a career-high 32 games for the Ducks. He recorded one goal and five assists for six points in the NHL and another nine points, coming from four goals and five assists, in 28 games with the Gulls.

The New Jersey native signed as an undrafted free agent with the Ottawa Senators in March of 2013. He played five seasons with their AHL affiliate, Binghamton, and made his NHL debut in 2016 with Ottawa.

The 30-year-old forward has appeared in 53 career NHL games with the Senators , Calgary Flames and Ducks, posting three goals and six assists. In 490 career AHL games, Robinson has registered 259 points on 120 goals and 139 assists, adding 13 points on five goals and eight assists in 28 Calder Cup Playoff games.
