The Chicago Blackhawks have sent defenceman Jack Johnson back to the Colorado Avalanche.
The Blackhawks traded their veteran blue liner to the defending Stanley Cup Champions in return for fellow defenceman Andreas Englund.
Johnson spent the 2021-22 season with the Avs, where he won his first Stanley Cup. The 36-year-old then signed a one-year, $950,000 contract with Chicago in the off-season.
Englund was in his first campaign with the Avs after four seasons in the Ottawa Senators organization. The Swede collected three assists in in 36 games in 2022-23.
