Columbus Blue Jackets captain Boone Jenner left Friday's game against the St. Louis Blues after being struck in the face by a puck, the team announced.
Jenner was hit in the second period and will be out for the remainder of the game. He had one shot on goal in 12:16 of ice time before leaving the game.
The 30-year-old forward came into Friday's action with 13 goals and five assists in 28 games for the Blue Jackets this season.
Columbus selected Jenner in the second round of the 2011 NHL draft and he has spent his entire 11-year career with the Blue Jackets.
The Blue Jackets are last in the Metropolitan Division with an 8-15-5 record.
