Columbus Blue Jackets forward Sean Kuraly will be out for approximately six weeks with a left oblique strain the team announced Friday.
Kuraly suffered the injury in the team's Thursday practice.
The 30-year-old forward has 10 goals and 17 points in 59 games for the Blue Jackets this season.
Six weeks from Friday is April 14, the exact date of the Blue Jackets' final regular season game. And with Columbus currently sitting dead last in the Eastern Conference, this injury could very well spell the end of Kuraly's 2022-23 season.
Kuraly is currently in the second year of a four-year, $10 million deal.
