The St. Louis Blues have named veteran forward Brayden Schenn the 24th captain in franchise history.
Schenn replaces Ryan O'Reilly, who was traded to the Maple Leafs last season and has since joined the Nashville Predators.
Robert Thomas, Justin Faulk and Colton Parayko will serve as assistant captains.
Schenn, 32, is entering his seventh season with the Blues and was a member of the team's Stanley Cup championship squad in 2019. Last season he skated in all 82 games and scored 21 goals and 65 points.
The Blues finished last season sixth in the Central Division with 81 points, missing the playoffs for just the second time since 2011.
