St. Louis Blues forward Oskar Sundqvist will miss the remainder of the 2020-21 season due to a torn ACL in his left knee, the team announced Saturday.

The 26-year-old suffered the injury after colliding with teammate Kyle Clifford in the first period of Friday's win against the San Jose Sharks. Sundqvist needed assistance to leave the ice and did not return.

Blues general manager Doug Armstrong said in a release that Sundqvist will undergo surgery when the team is back home in St. Louis. The forward will be re-evaluated ahead of training camp for the 2021-22 season.

Sundqvist recorded four goals and nine points in 28 games this season.
