The St. Louis Blues have locked down a depth blueliner for the foreseeable future.
The team announced on Friday that they have signed defenceman Tyler Tucker to a two-year, $1.85-million contract extension.
A six-foot-one left-shot defenceman, Tucker has two goals, two assists and 30 penalty minutes in 20 games with the Blues this season. He also has four goals, six assists, and 39 penalty minutes in 19 games with St. Louis's AHL affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds.
Tucker, 24, was initially selected in the seventh round, 200th overall by the Blues in the 2018 NHL draft.
