The St. Louis Blues are keeping some of their goaltending depth intact ahead of Friday's trade deadline.
The Blues have agreed to a two-year, two-way contract extension with minor-league goaltender Colten Ellis, the team announced Thursday.
The deal is worth $775,000 at the NHL level and $175,000 at the American Hockey League level in 2025-26, and will go up to $225,000 in the AHL for the 2026-27 season.
Ellis, 24, has been a steady netminder for the Springfield Thunderbirds this season, playing to a 19-7-3 record with a 2.41 goals-against average and .926 save percentage.
The Whycocomagh, N.S., native was selected in the third round, 93rd overall, by the Blues in the 2019 NHL Draft out of the Rimouski Oceanic.
