St. Louis Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko was ruled out for a game against the Minnesota Wild prior to the second period because of an upper-body injury, the team announced Saturday.
Tarasenko appeared to hurt his hand when he blocked a shot from Matt Dumba in the first period.
Tarasenko, who missed the Blues' last game because of illness, is third on the team in both goals (10) and points (29) this season.
The Russian is a three-time NHL all-star.
