New York Islanders forward Bo Horvat got the ultimate revenge on Thursday night.
In his first game against the Vancouver Canucks since being traded away to the Islanders on Jan. 30, Horvat scored his 33rd goal of the season late in the second period to put his team up 4-3.
The former captain of the Canucks ripped one past Canucks goaltender Collin Delia after receiving a nifty feed from Mathew Barzal.
Horvat has claimed that there are no hard feelings between him and his old team, and that he is just focused on helping the Islanders win.
Still, that goal had to feel extra good. It's only human nature.
It was actually the second time that Horvat put one past Delia on the night, but his earlier goal ended up being disallowed for goaltender interference after a successful coach's challenge by the Canucks.
Horvat has now scored in back-to-back games for the Islanders after he got his first on Tuesday night agianst the Seattle Kraken.
