Boston Bruins sign Michael Callahan to one-year, two-way contract

The Boston Bruins have bolstered their blue line heading into the 2024-25 NHL season.

On Friday, Bruins general manager Don Sweeney announced that defenceman Michael Callahan has signed a one-year, two-way contract. He will have a cap hit of $775,000.

During the 2023-24 season, 24-year-old Callahan tallied four goals and 13 assists in 70 games for the Providence Bruins. The blueliner's entire AHL career has been with Providence (140 games total), where he's recorded six goals and 21 assists.

The Massachusetts native was selected by the Arizona Coyotes in the fifth round (142nd overall) at the 2018 NHL Draft.
