The bad news keeps coming for the Boston Bruins.
Defenceman Hampus Lindholm left Tuesday's game against the St. Louis Blues with a lower-body injury and will not return, the team said.
The six-foot-four Lindholm blocked a shot in the slot from Blues defenceman Justin Faulk with three minutes remaining in the first period and went to the locker room shortly afterwards.
After the Bruins' win, Bruins coach Jim Montgomery had no further update on Lindholm.
The Bruins entered Tuesday's tilt already without righty Andrew Peeke on the blueline.
Lindholm, 30, was on the NHL's second all-star team in 2022-23.
