Boston Bruins defenceman Hampus Lindholm will be out of the lineup for multiple weeks due to a lower-body injury, head coach Jim Montgomery said Wednesday.
Lindholm exited the team's 3-2 win over the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday with three minutes remaining the first period after blocking a shot in the slot from defenceman Justin Faulk.
Lindholm's injury marks another blow to the Bruins blueline as right-handed defenceman Andrew Peeke is considered week-to-week with an upper-body injury.
Lindholm, 30, was on the NHL's second All-Star team in 2022-23.
The Bruins are 8-7-2 and sit in third place in the Atlantic Division.
