Bruins winger Jake DeBrusk will not play in Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Kings because he was late for a team meeting.
Boston coach Jim Montgomery confirmed the decision in speaking to the media on Saturday morning in L.A.
The 27-year-old, Edmonton-born DeBrusk was drafted 15th overall by the Bruins in 2015 and is in his seventh season with the team. He has 119 goals and 226 points in 388 NHL games with Boston, but is pointless so far this season through three games.
The Bruins are to a surprising 3-0 to start the season, having lost captain Patrice Bergeron and veteran David Krejci during the off-season to retirement.
The game can be seen at 10:30 p.m. ET / 7:30 p.m. PT on Sportsnet+.
