Taylor Hall is returning to the Boston Bruins after agreeing to a four-year, $24-million contract.

Hall, 29, was due to become an unrestricted free agent next season — his second straight off-season eying the open market after signing a one-year pact with the Buffalo Sabres last fall.
After a shaky campaign with the Sabres, Hall was dealt to Boston at the deadline and fit in immediately. He tallied eight goals and 14 points in 16 regular season games as a Bruin, and followed it up with three goals and five points in 11 post-season contests. Hall made it clear following the season he wanted to remain in Boston with an opportunity to settle into an organization after multiple moves over the past few years. The feeling, clearly, was mutual.
“The Bruins are excited that Taylor wanted to remain a Boston Bruin and we are thrilled to have signed him to a multi-year contract,” Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said in a statement. “He is an impact player that brings speed, scoring, skill and two-way commitment to our lineup. He fit seamlessly into our locker room and will be an integral part of our organization’s goal to compete for the Stanley Cup.”
