The Boston Bruins and Minnesota Wild swapped players and picks on Saturday.
Boston acquired centre Vinni Lettieri and the 110th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft in exchange for centre Jakub Lauko and the 122nd overall pick.
The Bruins used that pick on defenceman Elliott Groenewold of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in the USHL. The Wild, meanwhile, used the 122nd pick on defenceman Aron Kiviharju of HIFK in Finland's Liiga.
Lauko, 24, was drafted by the Bruins 77th overall in the 2018 draft. He has since played two seasons in the NHL, tallying six points and 11 assists in 83 games. Most of his time has been spent with AHL-affiliate Providence Bruins, where he's picked up 23 goals and 38 assists over four seasons.
Lettieri, 29, was signed by the New York Rangers as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He has since played parts of six seasons in the NHL, tallying 12 goals and 15 assists over 129 games. He played for the Bruins in the 2022-23 season, appearing in one NHL game, but picked up 23 goals and 26 assists in 48 games for Providence that year.
