Drake Caggiula is returning to Edmonton, signing with his former club on a two-year, two-way deal with an AAV of $775,000, the Oilers announced Saturday.
The 29-year-old Pickering, Ont., native began his NHL career in Edmonton back in 2016-17, signing with the Oilers after a run with the University of North Dakota.
He's since played out seven years in the big leagues, bouncing between Chicago, Arizona, Buffalo, and Pittsburgh. Through 282 NHL games, Caggiula's collected 46 goals and 91 points.
His most productive NHL campaign came during his time in Edmonton, when he put up 13 goals and 20 points with the Oilers.
Caggiula spent the majority of the past season with the AHL's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, putting up 22 goals and 53 points for the minor-league side.
