The Calgary Flames announced that the team has signed defenceman Michael Stone to a professional tryout contract on Monday.
The 32-year-old spent the last six seasons with the Flames. Stone only played 11 games in the last NHL regular season collecting two goals and four assists.
The former third-round pick in the 2008 NHL Draft was one point away from equalling his regular-season tally during the 2022 Stanley Cup playoffs. Stone notched five points (two goals, three assists) in nine games helping the Flames reach the second round of the post-season.
