The Calgary Flames will be wearing a helmet decal in honour of assistant general manager Chris Snow on Thursday night against the Vegas Golden Knights.
The #SnowyStrong sticker, which features a blue cornflower, is being used in part to raise funds and awareness for ALS, the disease Snow was diagnosed with in 2019.
The flower is the international symbol for the fight against ALS.
Snow, 41, was given one year to live upon his initial diagnosis, but through live-saving treatment has survived living with ALS for nearly four years.
According to Snow's wife Kelsie, who has documented Chris' battle throughout her social media, the sticker originates from the U9 hockey team of the couple's daughter Willa Snow.
