The Montreal Canadiens acquired minor-league forward Filip Cederqvist from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for future considerations on Thursday, the NHL team announced.
Cederqvist, 23, has one goal and three assists in 19 games with AHL Rochester this season.
In 74 career games with Rochester, the six-foot-three Cederqvist has recorded 10 goals and 14 assists.
The Swedish forward was selected in the fifth round (143rd overall) by the Sabres in the 2019 NHL Draft.
