The Montreal Canadiens announced following their 4-2 loss to the Boston Bruins that Josh Anderson's season is over.
The forward will miss the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign with a high-ankle sprain.
Anderson was pushed into an empty net by Tampa Bay Lightning defenceman Mikhail Sergachev in the dying seconds of the Habs's 5-3 win on Monday. Anderson was helped off the ice and remained in Montreal as the team flew to Boston to take on the Bruins.
The 28-year-old ends his season having collected 32 points (21 goals, 11 assists) in 69 games.
