The Montreal Canadiens announced on Saturday they had signed 2021 draft pick Oliver Kapanen to a three-year, entry-level deal.
No financial terms were disclosed.
Kapanen, 20, was selected in the second round (64th overall) by Montreal and had 14 goals and 20 assists in 51 games with KalPa Kuopio in Finland's Liiga this past season. The Finnish forward is the cousin of NHLer Kasperi Kapanen of the St. Louis Blues.
