Montreal Canadiens defenceman Ben Chiarot is expected to miss a week with a lower-body injury.

Chiarot was placed on injured reserve after leaving Saturday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets. He did manage to return and finish the game.

The 30-year-old has five goals and nine points in 44 games this season.
