Montreal Canadiens goaltender Cayden Primeau will get a rare start on Thursday against the Detroit Red Wings, the team announced.
It will be the second start of the season for Primeau, who allowed four goals on 33 shots in a loss against the New Jersey Devils on Oct. 24.
Samuel Montembeault and Jake Allen are ahead of Primeau on the depth chart.
The Canadiens enter Thursday's contest on a four-game losing streak.
