Canadiens' Dach out against Hurricanes with non-COVID illness

Montreal Canadiens forward Kirby Dach will not play in Thursday night's matchup against the Carolina Hurricanes due to a non-COVID related sickness, the team announced.

Dach, 22, is having a career year for the Canadiens, posting 12 goals and 35 points in 54 games.

In Dach's absence, Rem Pitlick will slot back into the lineup.

Pitlick has split time between the Canadiens and their AHL affiliate this season. He has five points in 22 games with Montreal.
